The Invisible Ray (1936)

Dr. Janos Rukh (Boris Karloff) is a scientist who uses a special telescope to discover a meteorite that landed in Africa containing a powerful element, Radium X. He leads an expedition, along with Dr. Benet (Bela Lugosi), to locate the element. Rukh, however, is contaminated by the radioactive element and discovers that his touch means death. Dr. Benet creates a temporary antidote, but Rukh becomes consumed with revenge when he believes that Benet and the others have stolen his discovery by presenting it to the Scientific Congress. His mind affected by the radioactivity, Rukh murders several members of the expedition, including Dr. Benet. After trying to kill his own wife, his mother destroys his antidote and he leaps to his death as he becomes consumed with the poisons of Radium X.
