20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954)






1868: Shipping in the Pacific is being attacked and sunk by an unknown creature of frightening power. The Abraham Lincoln, an armed frigate, is dispatched by the US government to deal with the situation. The 'monster' turns out to be a highly advanced submarine called Nautilus which destroys Abraham incoln easily. Ned Land, a harpooner, Professor Pierre Aronnax, a distinguished authority on undersea life, and Conseil, his assistant, are rescued by the mysterious Captain Nemo, an evil genius who plans to destroy the known world using Nautilus.
