Die Verrufenen (1925)

A young engineer lies to protect his fiancée, resulting in a perjury conviction, and his fiancée leaving him. After serving his sentence, he struggles to reintegrate into society as an ex-convict and is forced to rely on the support of those labeled as "lower class" or "criminals," including a local prostitute. As he begins to rebuild his life, a dilemma arises that forces him to jeopardize his progress and help those who had previously aided him.
