Riley the Cop (1928)

Joe Smith, a young baker, becomes engaged to Mary Coronelli, who comes from a wealthy family. Her aunt, who disapproves of Joe, takes Mary to Europe in an attempt to break them up. Joe uses his savings to follow her there, but he is falsely accused of embezzling money from the bakery to fund his trip. Officer Riley, a respected local police officer, pursues Joe to Europe. While in Germany, Riley becomes interested in a flapper he meets in a beer garden, but later discovers her true identity.
