Wen die Götter lieben (1942)
On a trip to Paris in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart visited Madame Weber and falls in love with her daughter, the singer Aloysia. Their younger sister, Constanze, had their hidden love for him, that he has not noticed. Only when their re-encounter in Vienna, she falls on him, and soon the two married. Meanwhile, Mozart’s career success: He composed for the Emperor, and his opera “Die Entführung aus dem Serail” solve his financial problems, even if only for a short time. When he was in rehearsals for the operas “Die Hochzeit des Figaro” and “Don Giovanni” Aloysia meet again and again in love with her, threatening his marriage to fail. – Biography with no claim to historical accuracy.
