The Four Feathers (1939)





1898: Harry Faversham is the son of a general. With his three closest friends, he is ordered to Egypt. Harry has no desire to fight, and the regiment sails without him. He receives three white feathers (symbols of cowardice) from his friends. Realising that his fiancee Ethne agrees with them, he takes a fourth feather from her fan. Then he sets out alone for Egypt.
