The Whitney Paine investment bank in London is facing a significant crisis after losing $100 million, leading to the suicide of one of their top traders, Tony Eisner. As various employees vie for the opportunity to save the company and take credit, senior trader Daniel Pascoe assumes he will be next in line for the promotion. However, the firm brings in a new trader from the US, Anna Schuman, leaving Daniel feeling frustrated and determined to uncover any negative information about Anna. But the situation is about to change in unexpected ways.
