In this musical crime story, a man who has been wrongly convicted escapes from prison and finds refuge with an attractive chorus dancer. She realizes he has musical talent and they start performing together as a dancing duo. Their rise to fame is abruptly halted when the dancer's jealous ex-partner informs the authorities of the man's whereabouts. Despite being innocent, the police force him to serve out his sentence. They promise to release him in two years if he remains low-key in prison. The dancer remains loyal and keeps her promise to wait for him.
