Uncle Tom's Cabin (1903)





"Uncle Tom's Cabin," is a novel by Harriet Beecher Stowe, tells the story of Eliza, a slave who has a young child, and her plea to Tom, another slave, to escape with her. Tom declines and Eliza flees with her child. She is assisted in her escape from slave traders and must cross the Ohio River to attain freedom. Tom, on the other hand, is sold from one master to another and experiences a range of fortunes.
