Sinners in the Sun (1932)

Doris Blake is a hardworking model who works at an exclusive clothing shop. She is in a relationship with Jimmy Martin, a car mechanic, but she refuses to marry him until he has saved enough money to open his own garage. This creates tension between them and they eventually break off their engagement. Jimmy becomes a chauffeur for wealthy Claire Kinkaid and marries her, but he finds it difficult to fit in with her social circle and eventually leaves her to become an automobile salesman. Doris meets Eric Nelson, a socially prominent man who is separating from his wife, and becomes his mistress. She is given a luxurious apartment and expensive gifts, but she cannot forget Jimmy, her true love. She leaves Nelson and goes to work as a cutter in a garment factory, where she is reunited with Jimmy. They happily get back together.
