Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)

Qui-Gon Jinn is an esteemed Jedi Knight selected for a critical mission during a crisis for the Republic. The Republic's economic system is in turmoil and taxes on trade routes are imposed, which angers the Trade Federation and leads to a blockade of the planet Naboo. Chancellor Valorum sends Qui-Gon and his apprentice Obi-Wan to negotiate with Nute Gunray, but they are targeted for assassination by Darth Sidious. Fleeing for their lives, the pair meets Jar Jar Binks on Naboo who guides them to the planet's queen, Amidala. They eventually end up on the desert planet Tatooine and in the Mos Espa spaceport, where they meet a young slave named Anakin.
