The Truman Show (1998)

Truman Burbank lives a seemingly normal life, waking up early, having breakfast with his wife Meryl, and going to work at the office. However, unbeknownst to him, his entire life is a reality TV show created and produced by Christof. He has been broadcasted to the public for decades without his knowledge. One day, an overhead light falls from the sky and crashes in front of him, causing him to question the reality of his life. His repressed fears and memories, such as the death of his father and a past love, make him want to leave the island paradise that is actually a constructed set and plan a secret trip to Fiji. However, leaving the prison of his fabricated life proves to be difficult.
