The Flying Fleet (1929)

Tommy, Steve, Dizzy, Kewpie, Specs, and Tex have formed a tight bond during their time as naval midshipmen at Annapolis. As graduation approaches, they are torn between excitement for their futures and the possibility of being separated from each other. All six have aspirations of becoming naval pilots and flying together as a squadron. Fortunately, most of them are selected for aviation training in San Diego, followed by Pensacola, where they train to become lieutenants. After graduation, they are sent back to San Diego, where they prepare to pilot a flight to Honolulu on the aircraft carrier Langley.

In San Diego, Tommy and Steve both become enamored with Anita Hastings, leading to a friendly but intense rivalry between the two friends. However, as their feelings for Anita deepen, their friendship and professional relationship are tested. They must decide whether their bond is strong enough to withstand the strain, especially when trust and cooperation are essential to survival in the air.
