The Gallant Blade (1948)

In 1648, the end of the Thirty Years War brings a sense of relief to the French people, who look forward to a life of peace. This sentiment is shared by General Cadeau, a war hero, and his devoted assistant, Lieutenant David Picard. However, this hope for peace is not shared by Marshall of France Mordore, who has plans to conquer Spain. In an attempt to change Mordore's mind, Cadeau presents David with a sword known as "the gallant blade". This magnificent weapon, combined with David's skills as a swordsman, will come in handy as Mordore refuses to listen to reason and proves to be deceitful.
