Bad Day at Black Rock (1955)

The town of Black Rock is a dilapidated collection of buildings situated on a southwestern plain alongside a set of railroad tracks. In 1945, on a sunny morning, the Santa Fe train arrives and John Macreedy disembarks. He is a strong man with only one arm and is searching for a Japanese farmer to give him his son's posthumous war medal. However, whenever he seeks assistance, Macreedy is rejected by some of the townspeople who had burned down the Japanese farm and killed its owner. They attempt to intimidate Macreedy into leaving town before he finds out what happened. Despite their efforts, he not only discovers the truth but also brings justice to the killers.
