We're Not Dressing (1934)

Alexander, Michael, Hubert, and his fiancee Edith are invited by wealthy Doris Worthington to join her on a cruise in the South Pacific on her yacht. The yacht's deck hand, Stephen Jones, is also on board and has the task of taking care of Doris' pet bear.

When Hubert takes the helm the yacht is wrecked. All members of the crew are lost except Jones, who swims to an island with the they must work if they expect to eat. Jones, all the while, is very much in love with Doris, an affection which is reciprocated.

On another part of the island are two botanists, George (Burns) and Gracie (Allen). Gracie, who believes flora and fauna are a vaudeville team, occupies herself with setting animal traps of fantastic invention.

When the rescue ships arrive, Jones believes that Doris is making fun of his serious attentions. They board different vessels, but when Doris transfers to his ship, Jones is convinced that she loves him.
