Alias the Lone Wolf (1927)

Eve De Montalais (Lois Wilson) is planning to smuggle her jewels into the United States, but little does she know that a gang of thieves is also on the same ship, planning to steal her jewels. Michael Lanyard (Bert Lytell), also known as The Lone Wolf, thwarts their plans and Eve seeks his help in getting the jewels past customs. At a New York nightclub, Eve discovers that Lanyard is The Lone Wolf. She is then tricked by a criminal posing as a customs officer and hands over the jewels, but she soon realizes the deception and escapes. Lanyard is overpowered by the gang, but manages to free himself and turns the jewels over to the customs officials, who then arrest the thieves. Eve is overjoyed to find out that Lanyard is a Secret Service agent and the two are reunited.
