The film "Mata Hari" tells the story of a beautiful Dutch dancer living in Paris in 1914, as war between France and Germany looms. Despite the tension, she agrees to perform in Berlin. On the train, she meets a German officer, but their potential romance is interrupted when a French agent is killed in her presence. She is arrested in Germany but is released thanks to the officer's intervention. With war now in full swing, the German intelligence service enlists her as a spy against France.
