Rent-a-Cop (1987)
When Della, a call-girl, gets caught in the middle of a drug bust at a hotel where she was meeting a client, she is taken hostage by a robber who interrupted the bust involving drug agents and dealers. She is eventually rescued by Vice Cop Church, who is falsely accused of orchestrating the failed bust. The situation becomes complicated when ex-ballplayer turned drug dealer Roger, who has connections to corrupt Vice cops and their superiors, becomes involved. The situation escalates as tensions rise.
