Popeye Doyle (1986)

Popeye Doyle, the New York Police Department detective portrayed in the two French Connection films, also features in this subsequent thriller. With his partner Parese, Doyle investigates the murder of a wealthy businessman's mistress who was also dating a Jordanian diplomat. Soon they find themselves in a race against time to prevent an assassination that will provoke a war in the Middle East.
