Test Pilot (1938)
Jim is a test pilot. It is a risky business with no future, hard on the body and nerves, sometimes driving the pilots to drink. Jim marries Ann, who gradually realizes the hazards of her husband’s work. Both she and Gunner, Jim’s buddy, try to keep Jim sober and sane. Finally Jim cracks up a plane, killing Gunner. This makes- him decide to quit flying and take a ground job.
