Whipsaw (1935)

Vivian Palmer, Dexter, and Ames steal valuable jewels in Paris, but rival gangsters Evans and Arnold take the loot from them. However, Dexter and Ames regain possession of the jewelry when both gangs arrive in New York. McBride, a government agent in disguise, joins Miss Palmer as she travels across the country with the jewels. She falls in love with him and decides to leave the gang, but he eventually discovers the jewelry and arrests her. Both gangs arrive on the scene and engage in a big gunfight. McBride is wounded but emerges victorious. Miss Palmer is cleared of any charges and remains with McBride as the remaining gangsters are apprehended.
