A Man's Castle (1933)

Spencer Tracy, Loretta Young - A Man's Castle

Bill, a resident of a depression-era camp, comes across Trina, a woman who is hungry and struggling. He takes her in and they begin living together in his small shelter. Bill works various temporary jobs to survive. However, when he meets a showgirl who offers to support him financially, he sees it as an opportunity for a better life. But when he learns that Trina is pregnant, he leaves the showgirl, Fay LaRue, and returns to Trina, marrying her. Bill and a friend try to steal money from a factory office safe, but their plan fails. Together with Trina, they leave the camp and catch a freight train in search of a new beginning elsewhere.
