L'argent (1928)

Brigitte Helm - L'argent

Business magnate Nicolas Saccard is on the verge of financial ruin due to the actions of his competitor Gunderman, as he attempts to secure funding for his company. In order to inflate the value of his stock, Saccard devises a publicity stunt that involves aviator Jacques Hamelin flying across the Atlantic to Guyana to search for oil, much to the dismay of Hamelin's wife Line. As Hamelin is away, Saccard attempts to pursue a romantic relationship with Line. Eventually, Line comes to understand that she and her husband were used in Saccard's scheme, and she accuses him of committing stock fraud.
