Daniel, Sam(antha), and Peter are three old friends living together in a Los Angeles loft. Daniel is a talented cook and good-looking, and he uses his skills to bring home various partners. He gives public cooking lessons, providing him with an ample supply of female admirers. One day, a TV producer attends one of his classes and is impressed by his skills. She offers him his own cooking show, "Cooking for Two." Daniel is thrilled and accepts the offer. The three friends promise to each other that nothing, not even money, can tear them apart. However, the show takes an unexpected turn when female viewers start calling in with their relationship problems. Daniel finds himself giving partnership counseling along with cooking recipes, and the two subjects become closely related.
