Tuvalu (1999)
In a bleak and colorless setting lies a rundown bathhouse, managed by a pompous blind man, his overworked wife, and their son Anton. Anton, a lonely and unsophisticated young man, falls for Eva, a beautiful woman who visits the bathhouse with her father. When Eva and her father lose their home, they come to live in the bathhouse, but an accident leads to the father's death, causing Eva to blame Anton and turn to the brutish Gregor. With the added challenge of a government inspection, can Anton win back Eva's love and keep the bathhouse afloat, while also supporting his family? Meanwhile, the elusive paradise island of Tuvalu awaits.
