Het bittere kruid (1985)
Sara, a 15-year-old Jewish girl living in the Netherlands during the German occupation, gradually becomes aware of the danger she and her family are facing. When her parents are forced to relocate to a ghetto in Amsterdam, Sara chooses to join them instead of staying with her brother and his girlfriend. Despite the risks, she also maintains contact with Greet, a friend she met in the hospital, even though Greet's father is working with the Germans.
