The story follows the three tumultuous nights in the life of a man seeking love. Harry, at 12 years old, is inexperienced and idealistic about love, seeing it as a romantic union between prince and princesses. His father, who he idolizes, had once kidnapped his mother and married her on a remote mountain peak, setting an example for Harry. However, as he grows and experiences more, Harry realizes the complexities of love and the distinctions between handsome and ugly men. He learns to cope through drinking, but most of all, he realizes the lengths to which people will go to secure their share of love.
