Daughter of Darkness (1948)
Emily, a beautiful young woman from Ireland, secures a job at a farm owned by the Tallent family in England. While the men in the area find her attractive and charming, the women are not as welcoming due to her flirtatious behavior with their partners. In particular, Bess Stanforth is troubled by Emily's actions. The situation intensifies when Dan, a man from Emily's past, arrives and accuses her of attempting to kill him. Bess's suspicions increase after Dan is discovered dead in a local barn. Determined to uncover the truth about Emily's identity and prove her guilt, Bess embarks on a mission to solve the mystery surrounding Dan's murder.
