Sorrell and Son (1927)





War hero Stephen Sorrell raises his son Kit alone after his wife left them. He loses a job opportunity and takes low-paying work as a hotel porter, which wears down his health and dignity. He endures it all for his son's future. Sorrell told Kit his mother was dead, but when she returns wanting to reconnect, he faces difficult choices.
