Anne-Marie's life seems easy with her rich plastic surgeon husband Gilbert, living in a beautiful house with all the luxuries. But as she starts to reflect, she realizes that she no longer has feelings for him and that the only time she feels truly happy is when she is jogging on the beach or in the arms of her lover, Leo. When Gilbert dies in a car accident, Anne-Marie sees it as an opportunity to finally be with Leo. However, her well-meaning family moves in to offer her support, and she can't bring herself to admit that she's not grieving. Her son Christophe adds to the pressure, and Anne-Marie finds herself more trapped than ever before, even without Gilbert.
