Rabbit-Proof Fence (2002)

In 1931, three young girls are wrenched from their family in Western Australia and placed in an institution as part of the government's policy to raise mixed-race children as "white". But Molly, Daisy and Gracie escape and begin the long journey home, pursued by an Aborigine tracker and a government official.
