In 1989 Berlin, Sascha is a youthful Eastern German border guard and Franzi is a bubbly Western German who has just relocated to an apartment near Sascha's guard tower at the Berlin Wall. A minor accident and a noble act of bravery lead to the two falling in love. However, the Stasi soon suspect that the couple's relationship is the beginning of a revolution, amidst widespread protests and East Germans seeking asylum in the Western German embassy in Prague. With the help of courage and love, Franzi and Sascha must fight for their relationship and aim for the seemingly impossible goal of tearing down the wall.
