Baby Take a Bow (1934)

Eddie Ellison, a former convict who served time in Sing-Sing prison, marries Kay after completing his sentence. Five years later, he and his ex-convict friend Larry have both turned their lives around and Eddie and Kay have a daughter named Shirley. However, a man named Welch, who believes that once a criminal always a criminal, has been keeping a close watch on them. When the employer's wife's pearls go missing, Eddie and Larry lose their jobs as it is revealed they both spent time in prison. Welch suspects they were involved in the theft of the pearls, but it remains to be seen if he can prove it or if the truth will come to light.
