Uli, der Knecht (1954)
Uli, who works on the Boden farm, is a reckless and wasteful man. After being scolded by his boss, he realizes that if he wants to improve his life, he must change his ways. So, he leaves behind the farm girl Anneliesi, abandons his drinking friends, and begins to work hard. His reputation improves so much that Joggeli, an elderly farmer, hires him to bring order to the chaotic Giungge farm. Uli succeeds in his mission and quickly becomes a valuable asset. He becomes infatuated with the kind Vreneli, but falls prey to Elisi, the cunning daughter of the farm owner.
