Ihre Majestät die Liebe (1931)

Fred von Wellingen is a wealthy industrialist who belongs to a prominent family-run corporation. He falls in love with Lia, a beautiful bartender at a Berlin Cabaret, and proposes to her. However, his family disapproves of Lia and her unsophisticated father and urges Fred to end the relationship in exchange for more power and wealth in the company. Despite this, Fred continues to pursue Lia, but by then she has discovered his previous agreement and has accepted a proposal from someone else.
