On the Road (2012)
Young writer Sal Paradise meets traveller Dean Moriarty and his girlfriend Marylou in New York in 1948. They have a great time in New York, but restless Dean returns to Denver. Sal follows him romanced by tales of the road. Via New York and Louisiana Sal, Dean and Marylou head for San Francisco. Back in 1950, Sal is accosted by Dean, asking him to write down his experiences in the past two years.
Based on the book in which Jack Kerouac describes his travels through the United States with his friend Neal Cassidy.
