Diamant (1990)
Thomas and Hester have been married for 30 years and have three children: Anton, Marion, and Boris. Anton, the expected successor to his father's company, is married to Janneke and is a top executive after completing his education at Nyenrode University. Marion and Boris still live with their parents and indulge in their wealthy lifestyle, testing the boundaries of their sibling relationship as they become increasingly infatuated with each other. The first cracks in the family appear when Thomas begins a secret affair with Eliza, whom he had broken up with 20 years prior. Eliza has a teenage son, Jeroen. When the family acquires "The Blue Devil," a notoriously valuable and unlucky diamond, misfortune seems to be inescapable. The family tries everything to rid themselves of the stone, but its removal proves to be more complicated than expected. As they struggle with the diamond, they all begin to feel its negative influence.
