His Captive Woman (1929)
Anna Janssen, a cabaret dancer, murders her wealthy lover and flees to a South Seas island with the help of another admirer. A detective named Tom McCarthy is sent to bring her back to the United States, but their steamer sinks, leaving them stranded on an island where they fall in love and undergo a transformation. However, they are eventually rescued and Anna is put on trial for murder. Tom testifies in her defense and tells the judge about her change of heart on the island. The judge orders them to marry and sentences them to live on the island where they found love.
