Waking Up the Town (1925)
A young girl goes to visit her grandfather who runs an auto repair shop. She becomes infatuated with the assistant who is an engineer and trying to persuade the local banker to invest in his plan to harness the energy of a nearby waterfall. However, her grandfather, who is also an amateur astronomer, has made the discovery that the world is ending as the Earth is being pulled out of its orbit and will collide with the moon, which may render all the plans irrelevant.
