Times Square (1929)

Arthur Lubin brings it on himself. When he plays a part so strongly reminiscent of Al Jolson in "The Jazz Singer" and "The Singing Fool" he invites comparison and, well it just isn't fair, that's all. Lovely Alice Day is okay. "Times Square" has merits of its own — if you don't mind a road company Jolson.
