Come and Get It! (1929)
Breezy Smith, the recently discharged lightweight boxing champion of the U.S. Navy, is stalked by criminals Tout Regan and Singapore Joe, who covet a valuable Buddha statue the sailor has brought from the orient. The thugs trail him to the Smith family home, where Tout kills Judge Elliott, the father of Breezy’s sweetheart, Janet. When Breezy's father is accused of the crime, Singapore Joe offers to identify the real killer for $1,000. Breezy hopes to obtain the money by entering a boxing match, but first he must escape a kidnapping attempt before winning the fight.
