Navajo (1929)

How the modern Indians eat, drink, sleep, dress, dance, and play hop-scotch — five long reels of it. Very educational. But who wants to be educated? Anyway, the people who made this spent gobs of hard cash to get this elongated newsreel off the Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona. All the actors are Indians, the photography is remarkably clear, and it's great stuff for anyone who doesn't want his melodrama spread on with a shovel.
