Picturesque and authentic tale of South Sea life as lived by the last of the Polynesians and the whites who listlessly go native. Written, directed, and produced by Raymond Wells, at Tutuila, it is probably the first independent picture of the sort to get across. Its success is obviously due to a complete absence of trumped-up movie gags, licautiful photography, and the discerning use of tropical resources. Grace Lord, as a stoic native woman, is splendid.
