The Vagabond Lover (1929)

Mr. Vallée's boy, Rudy, is right there with the sentimental ballads. His voice makes you think of moonlight and roses. "The Vagabond Lover" will please Vallée fans. Rudy warbles with telling effect. But it makes us think of the man who said "for gosh sakes sing, Annie." The king of song has one facial expression. Marie Dressier is superb as a nouveau riche society leader.
