Home at Seven (1952)
David Preston, a bank clerk, returns home at seven, as he has done each evening for the previous 20 years. But tonight, as his wife knows, is different. For Preston did not return at seven the night before, or at any other hour. Furthermore £500 is missing from a fund of which Preston is treasurer, and the club steward has been murdered.
