A study of Laurel and Hardy, Buster Keaton and Charley Chase, by way of extracts from their silent comedies. Laurel, Hardy and Chase are featured in short subjects, while Keaton's contribution is a long extract from Seven Chances, in which he learns he will inherit seven million dollars but only if he is married by that evening.
