Beyond the Poseidon Adventure (1979)
Capsized by a freak wave, the giant passenger liner Poseidon floats upside down in the Atlantic. Two days after the disaster, salvage tug skipper Mike Turner and his partner Wilbur, with a pretty passenger Celeste Whitman, come on the scene, at the same time as a 'medical team' led by Stefan Svevo. Guessing that it contains a fortune in cash and jewels, Turner is intent on plundering the purser's safe. Svevo in reality an illicit arms dealer, has even darker motives for coming aboard the stricken ship. Entering the Poseidon through a hole cut by the coastguard, Turner and Svevo discover further trapped survivors.
