Pacifist film-maker Jean Diaz is planning to make a cartoon that will stand as a permanent monument against hate and violence. Parted from his wife Christine but still devoted to his son David, Jean is driving to work when his car crashes and he is snatched from the world by Death. Awakening on a stone slab, Jean seems to undergo a series of conversations with the Grim Reaper.
