Thirty Seconds over Tokyo (1944)





The story recounts the legendary Doolittle bombing raid on Tokyo during World War II. It begins by describing the meticulous preparation for the mission and the eventual take-off of the planes from an aircraft-carrier. The planes successfully reach their target and bomb Tokyo. Some of the planes make it back to the ship, while others are damaged and lost at sea. The story concludes by narrating the harrowing experiences of the pilots who crash-landed in the ocean, washed up on the coast of China, and eventually made their way back.
